Product Overview

Tween 20 (Polysorbate 20) is a nonionic surfactant with the chemical name polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monolaurate. It is prepared by the condensation of sorbitan monolaurate under alkaline conditions and appears as a yellow or amber clear oily liquid with an HLB value of 16.7. This oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier is easily soluble in polar solvents such as water and ethanol, but poorly soluble in mineral oil and light petroleum.

Applications
Food Industry: Used as an emulsifier (E432) in ice cream, baked goods, margarine, beverage emulsified flavors, and other food products.
Cosmetics & Personal Care: Functions as emulsifier, solubilizer, and detergent in shampoo, shower gel, facial cleanser, lotion, face cream, sunscreen, and other personal care formulations.
Industrial Applications: Serves as emulsifier, wetting agent, and dispersant in textiles, leather, paints, inks, agrochemicals, metalworking fluids and various industrial fields.
