Polyoxyethylene sorbitan esters, also known as polysorbates, are ethoxylated sorbitan esters. They are non-ionic hydrophilic surfactants that are commonly used as oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifiers.

Our comprehensive range of polysorbates serves numerous applications, including emulsifiers, stabilizers, and foaming agents in bread improvers and cake oils; stabilizing specialized emulsions in cosmetics; solubilizing agents for fragrances (high HLB values); and emulsifiers for mineral oils (low HLB values). Polysorbates are recognized as non-toxic and safe food additives when used appropriately. All our polysorbates are sourced from vegetable/vegan ingredients.

Custom surfactant mixtures can be formulated by combining different proportions of polysorbate and sorbitan esters, tailored to specific product requirements.

A hydrophilic non-ionic emulsifier that is safe, non-toxic, and non-irritating. Depending on the fatty acid type, products with HLB values ranging from 9.6 to 16.7 are available, soluble or dispersible in polar organic solvents like water and alcohol. Provides emulsifying, solubilizing, and stabilizing effects.

• Tween series products are widely used as emulsifiers in food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and other industries. When combined with Span products, they can be formulated to meet specific emulsion requirements.
• As a food additive: Extensively used in cake oils, bread improvers, and various beverages, serving functions such as emulsifying, stabilizing, and foaming.
• As a cosmetic additive: Effectively emulsifies various oils and fats. High HLB value Tweens serve as solubilizers for fragrances and mild detergents, while low HLB value Tweens provide specialized emulsification for mineral oils.
• Tweens are used in pharmaceutical excipients as solubilizing, emulsifying, and wetting agents.
• Also employed in other industries including textile auxiliaries (oils, softeners) and paint additives.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in tightly sealed packages, away from heat and light.

Transportation: Transport as non-dangerous goods.

Shelf Life: 1 year. Products may still be used if they pass quality re-inspection.
