F38 serves as a versatile surfactant with applications as emulsifier, wetting agent, defoamer, demulsifier, dispersant, antistatic agent, dust remover, viscosity regulator, foam control agent, leveling agent, gelling agent, and more. It is widely used in agricultural chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, metal processing, cleaning, pulp and paper industry, textile processing, water treatment, and as a bleaching aid.

F68 is used to prepare low-foam detergents with high detergency and serves as an effective defoamer. Applications include preventing air entry in artificial cardiopulmonary machine blood circulation, increasing water permeability in sugar production for higher yield, acting as emulsifier in vinyl acetate emulsion polymerization, and improving coated paper quality.

Performance and Applications
1. As an Emulsifier and Stabilizer
Poloxamer is one of the few synthetic emulsifiers used in intravenous emulsions as a water-in-oil emulsifier. Dosage: 0.1% to 5%. Emulsions prepared with this product feature fine particles (typically below 1μm), high absorption rates, and excellent physical stability that withstands autoclaving and freezing.
2. As a Solubility Enhancer
This product increases the surface solubility of various drugs through micelle formation. For example, salicylic acid solubility increases with F68 concentration, while L65 shows rapid initial increase followed by gradual decrease.
3. As an Absorption Enhancer
Slows intestinal peristalsis to prolong drug retention time and improve bioavailability of oral formulations. Also enhances skin permeability for topical applications.
4. As Sustained Release Materials
High molecular weight solid products serve as adhesives and coating materials for tablets, capsules, and gels to achieve controlled release. Dosage: 5% to 15%.
