Tween is a type of emulsifier, also called polyoxyethylene sorbitol anhydride monooleate. This product is a light yellow to amber oily liquid at room temperature. Slightly bitter, soluble in water, ethanol, ethyl acetate, and toluene, insoluble in mineral oil and vegetable oil. Tween 80 is a kind of artificial non-ionic surfactant, which is used as emulsifier, dispersant, wetting agent, solubilizer and stabilizer. Widely used in medicine, food, cosmetics, chemicals, printing and dyeing, and textiles.

Applications
- Food Industry: Used as an O/W type food emulsifier, either alone or in combination with Span-60, Span-65, and Span-80. Used as an emulsifier, dispersant for ice cream, bread, pastries, candies, and as a turbid agent for refreshing beverages.
- Cosmetics Field: As an emulsifier, it evenly mixes water and oil phases to prepare stable emulsion products. Also has penetration enhancement effect for better delivery of components to skin layers.
- Coatings and Inks Industry: As a dispersant, it evenly disperses pigments in the matrix, enhancing color stability and texture uniformity.
- Metalworking Lubricating Oil: Improves lubrication performance and heat dissipation performance of lubricating oil.
- Agricultural Field: Used as an antistatic agent, oiling agent for nylon and viscose cord, and serves as an intermediate for oiling agents in chemical fibers.
- Biotechnology and Laboratory Applications: Widely used in various biotech and lab applications.
Polysorbate 80 In Bath Bombs

Normally, polysorbate 80 emulsifier proportion is around 2% in the liquid stage.
