99% Sorbitan Monooleate Span 80 Surfactant Food Grade Emulsifier For Oil 0

Span-80 is a yellow oily liquid, easily soluble in water, ethanol, methanol, or ethyl acetate, and very slightly soluble in mineral oil. It is a w/o type emulsifier with strong emulsifying, dispersing and lubricating effects. It can be mixed with various surfactants, especially Tween-60, and the effect of compound use is better. HLB value is 4.7, melting point is 52-57ºC.

 
Application Areas

Span-80 is used as an emulsifier, solubilizer, stabilizer, softener, antistatic agent, etc. It is suitable for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, textile, paint and other industrial fields.

  • In the food industry, it is used as an emulsifier in the production of beverages, milk candy, ice cream, bread, cakes, malted milk, margarine, chocolate, etc.
  • In the textile industry, it is used as an antistatic agent and a component of a softening oiling agent for acrylic fibers
  • In the food, pesticide, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, coating, plastic industries, it is used as an emulsifier and stabilizer
  • It is used as an anti-fogging agent for PVC, EVA, and PE films, with a dosage of 1.5-1.8% in PVC and 0.7-1% in EVA

2. Used as emulsifier and diffusant in food and cosmetic industry, emulsifier and stabilizer of latex polymerization. Dispersant of printing oil, textile water resistance beaded paint additive and emulsify dispersant of oil product.

3. Widely used as antifog drops of polymer, dosage: 1-1.7% in PVC, 0.5-0.7% in EVA.

1. Dissolved in oil and organic solvent, dispersed in water to demi-milkiness liquid.
