PEG-200 serves as an organic synthesis medium and high-requirement heat carrier. Applications include:

• Daily chemical industry: moisturizer, inorganic salt solubilizer, viscosity regulator
• Textile industry: softening agent and antistatic agent
• Paper and pesticide industries: wetting agent

PEG-400 and PEG-600 are used as substrates for medicine and cosmetics, lubricants and wetting agents for rubber and textile industries.
PEG-600 enhances grinding effects and improves metal surface luster when added to electrolytes in the metal industry.
