L64 Polyethylene Polypropylene Glycol
Used for manufacturing low-foam detergents or defoamers. L64 is employed in preparing synthetic detergents with low foam and high detergency properties. Applications include:
- Pesticide emulsifiers
- Coolants and lubricants in metal cutting and grinding
- Lubricant for rubber vulcanization
- Preventing hard scale formation in oil pipelines
- Secondary oil recovery processes

Primarily used in the wool spinning industry as a wool protective agent. Adding approximately 0.3% during the wool carbonization process provides significant benefits:
- Reduces wool scale damage
- Enhances single fiber strength by 10%
- Reduces spinning end breakage rate by 10%

Performance and Applications
1. As an Emulsifier and Stabilizer
Poloxamer is one of the few synthetic emulsifiers used in intravenous emulsions as a water-in-oil emulsifier. Dosage: 0.1% to 5%. The emulsion prepared with this product features:
- Smaller milk particles (typically below 1μm)
- High absorption rate
- Stable physical properties resistant to autoclave sterilization and low-temperature freezing
2. As a Solubility Enhancer
This product increases the surface solubility of various drugs (salicylic acid, indomethacin, metronidazole) through micelle formation. Example: Salicylic acid solubility in Pluronic L65 and F68 demonstrates stable solubility across different concentrations.
3. As an Absorption Enhancer
Dual mechanism: slows intestinal peristalsis to prolong drug retention time and improve bioavailability of oral formulations; enhances skin permeability for topical applications due to excellent skin compatibility.
4. As Sustained-Release Materials
High molecular weight solid products serve as adhesives, coating materials for tablets, capsules, and gels to achieve controlled release. Dosage: 5% to 15%.
